We want your memories!
As part of an ongoing project, the Heanor & District Local History Society wants to hear from YOU.
We would like to establish a collection of people’s memories about the area -
This is nothing new of course; we have always asked for this from our members, but we have now decided to use this method to try to prompt people by asking specific questions. And we would like those who interact with us via the internet to take part too, as long as they have memories of the Heanor area.
Every couple of meetings or so, we distribute a new questionnaire to members on a
different topic, and with a number of specific questions to hopefully get people’s
memories going. There is no deadline. You don’t have to take part in all, or any,
of the topics. Likewise, you don’t have to be a member to take part -
The results of these questionnaires depend entirely on how much information is returned. We might manage a short piece in a future newsletter, your detail might help on a future webpage, or we might end up publishing a new book on the strength of readers’ comments!
Each questionnaire is published in two different formats -
Alternatively, send us whatever memories you have in whatever format you choose -
We look forward to reading your comments.
